Diaper Rash Drama...

After our recent trip to the doctor's office, Brinley was diagnosed with a double ear infection. Ugh. Hope she doesn't have her mommy's genes when it comes to ears-- my medical chart by the age of four was thicker than the Bible! SooooOOOoooOOooOOooo many ear infections.

Well, as you might guess, Brinley's ear infections mean she is on antibiotics (yuck!) and do you know what antibiotics do to a little baby? You've guessed it! It's another post about poop. But wait don't exit out of our blog yet-- there aren't any pictures of poop this time. Promise.

So the antibiotics make her poop more frequently... that means night poops. She filled her diaper for the first time during the night two nights ago. Much to my dismay, she was probably sleeping in it for a while. Poop in a diaper + sleeping for a loooong time = RAW BOTTOM! Poor girl.

And to add to this poor baby's pain, she LOVES her morning bath time. She plays in her bath for about an hour every day. But until this rash is cleared up, Mommy says "NO LONG BATHS! You cannot be sitting in water for an hour every day!". But since I am learning to parent with grace, this is what I came up with this morning....

 Yes- I realize it's not the same, but it's better than nothing, right? I gave her her bath, then drained it and put the towel down in the bottom of the tub. She actually really liked it.
