Playing Catch Up: June (Colorado VACATION!)

We had our first EVER family vacation in June. After missing the Nebraska Homeschool Convention, we planned on going to Homeschool Convention in Colorado. Then, after much prodding from Mommy, Daddy decided to turn it into a quick vacation. Those of you who know Roger, don't have a heart attack-- it was only a two-day vacation. ;-)
Roger turned off his phone, we stayed in a quaint cabin with a fabulous view, we enjoyed the relaxing town of Estes Park, we played, we fed chipmonks, we fished, we enjoyed the hot tub, we took the tramway (twice) and we spent quality time together as a family. It was perfect.

Our first trip up the Aerial Tramway

The view is spectacular

"Climbing a mountain" with Daddy
Titus and Daddy grabbed some peanuts from the little gift shop they have at the top of the tramway. The intention was to feed the chipmunks but Titus got the nuts out and began to break the shells and eat the peanuts himself. He was enjoying his peanut snack when, all of a sudden, a gutsy little chipmunk scuttled right up to the top of that rock and took Titus' peanut out of his hand. Titus yelled, with fists in the air "HEY! YOU! CHIPMUNK! DON'T YOU TAKE MY PEANUT!"
Shortly after that, Titus became friends with the chipmunk.By the end of their interaction, that little chipmunks cheeks were bulging with peanuts fed to him by his new friend, Titus.

Enjoying the magnificent view of God's beautiful creation
We had to take a few breaks on the way up the mountain because:

I miss this view

Brinley found lots of "crystals" on our hike
