Col.Oh.Rad.Oh.

I know- Grandma just came to visit and ALREADY I'm telling you that we went to Denver. But we had to. Here's the deal- my van is leaking. bad. Apparently it needs about $6,000.00 worth of repairs. Oh. Yea. But we can't really complain. The van was a gift to us and is running at about 240,000 miles. It's been around the block a few times-- LOTS of blocks, for that matter.
So Roger started his "find a new vehicle for extremely cheap" goal. And he did it. Super cheap. Pretty nice. In Denver. So off we went. We left on a Thursday (Roger had Friday off) after work and got to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandpa had purchased it for us while we were in NE so that we were sure to get the good deal. Then Roger purchased it from Grandpa on Friday after Grandpa got off work. But before that we went to visit Grandpa and Grandma at their work.
First up was Grandpa's work. He works at Springhill Golf Course in Aurora, Colorado as the Asst. Superintendent of maintenance. He's a hard working guy who golfs on his lunch hour. Tough job, eh? :-) He's worked for the City of Aurora since he was 18 years old. Let's just say he's a very loyal man. very.

Going for a ride on Grandpa's "special golf car"

The beautiful course covered in snow

Checking out the new renovations at Grandpa's work

Grandma surprised us and came to Grandpa's work for her lunch hour

The view from Grandpa's work... love those mountains!

She wanted to take every golf car trip she could. They ended up getting stuck in the snow shortly after this photo
and Grandpa had to dig them out. :-D

Snow ball fight!!

A short "story" break

Next up was Grandma's work. Let's just say I was a little nervous. Grandma works in a classroom with children with Autism. No excavators, no snow balls, no golf cars. Lame, right?      ....not so much for my little socialite!

She met the teachers and students

She walked all over the school and saw LOTS of "big kids"

She got stickers from the nurse

She got to tour the kitchen!

Oh.... this takes me back.... back to bad bad middle school times..... uuuuuuuhhhhhh....

She got to watch the kids "shoot some hoops"
Overall... Grandma's work was just as fun as Grandpas (if you don't count the golf cars!) :-D

Next post-- the rest of our trip (including Brinley actually going INTO the Butterfly Pavilion this time!!)
