The Forgotten of South Carolina

I forgot. I know, I know. This happens too often. These phrases happen at our house CONSTANTLY:

"Roger - have you seen my keys?" (I have been missing my keys for over two weeks now)
"Honey - can you grab a waterbottle? I forgot one."
"Roger - where are my sunglasses?"
"Ugh! I forgot my phone. Be right back."
"I guess we'll just wet down some paper towels because I forgot the wipes again."

But I came about this forgetfulness honestly. My dad is almost worse than I am. When we were flying together to South Carolina I thought "Well THIS ought to be interesting! God - please don't let us forget the little one. Please. Please." And we didn't. We forgot to get someone to watch the house and forgot to tell my mom about the hail damage to her car and forgot to wash out the pan with the eggs in it before we left but we DID NOT forget the little Bear. That's a victory for us.
So... anyways.... here are some of the pictures I forgot to post from out SC trip. Enjoy!

Grandpa and Uncle Ryan enjoying the water

I have to comment on this next photo- I would have NEVER been caught at the beach two weeks after having Brinley. I was a scardey Mom that never left the house. I was scared of germs, flu, viruses, dirt, bugs, heat, cold, sweat, etc. Shannon is such an amazing mother- she is protective when she needs to be but very willing to let Evan experience the world around him... way to go lil' Mama!

After the beach, Grandma took Brinley to Ripley's Aquarium.... SO COOL!

This is the tank right as you walk into the building.
She didn't want to leave it!

Sun, Sand, Surf.... Ahhhhhh......

Ok, I'll admit that since the day I was told we were going to Myrtle Beach (this is PRIOR to me even arriving in SC) I had been grinning ear-to-ear! I have always had a "thing" for the beach (don't worry Roger). There is something about the mixture of sand, surf, water, sun, and seashells that gets me. It fills my soul with some sort of warm, bright, relaxing, awe-inspiring cocktail. (It also filled Brinley's every crevice with sand-- try showering THAT off!).
So instead of photographing every cute and beautiful moment at the beach I decided to take it all in... snapping a few quick shots and then putting the camera away (along with my worries) and soaking in every bit of this beauty that I could...

She loved her bucket and sand!

The outdoor shower was her favorite part

The foot wash was just her size!

Swan Lake

While in South Carolina, the Winter family decided to take us to Swan Lake. It is a beautiful park/lake area with lots of wildlife. Here's what went down:

"Boowd! Boowd!" She loved them
until one BIT her!
(don't worry- Grandpa smacked it on the beak)

Mean stinker

The new parents crossing a bridge
....ahh the symbolism
