Grandpa and Grandma's Visit!

Last weekend we had some company... and it wasn't just Grandma this time! Grandpa came too! It was so much fun! They got in Friday night so we got to spend a little time with them that night. Then Saturday morning we woke up and got ready and headed to the CARNIVAL. This was Brinley and Titus' first carnival. I was so excited to share in the fun with my daughter.
First she said she wanted to ride the elephants. I was pretty sure she was going to freak out but she got on and got buckled:

Then Grandma walked away.... let's just say I was too busy calming her down to take a picture. ;-)


So we decided to play it safe next with a slow train ride (and in Daddy's lap just for extra precaution)

Then a quick Merry-Go-Round ride

She wasn't looking in any of the pictures... :-(

Then on to the wonderful (albeit FAR from healthy) carnival foods. Don't worry.... we stayed FAR away from the deep-fried oreos!

Grandma wanted to introduce her to cotton candy. I was pretty nervous that she would become an addict.

She absolutely REFUSED to eat it. She would not put it in her mouth at all.
(Good girl!)

Now funnel cake on the other hand.....

We finished up with a quick trip through the "Fun House" (which was far from fun) with Grandma, Daddy, Grandpa and Brinley. And that was our day at the carnival.... yay!

Brinley's New Bed!

While I was gone to Denver for my nephew's baptism, Daddy got to work. He was very excited to build Brinley a bed and had grandiose plans that included bridges and steps and stars and all sorts of fun stuff. But because of our budget and the very small room she has, he decided to go with something more.... classic (read small and cheap). Check out his work:

Now whenever someone comes over she says "Wanna see my big girl bed?"
