Camp Titus

Labor Day Weekend is a time for loading up your truck with sleeping bags, tents, hot dogs, smore supplies, fishing poles and the entire family for a nice long weekend of camping. That's exactly what we did. Ok. Not exactly. But we did have tents, hot dogs, smores, fishing poles and the entire family out for a fun time at Camp Titus. :-D

(ps- another shout-out to Emily for taking most of these pictures. I wouldn't have had a single picture without her. :-D)

ps-- just realized that I didn't "Shout Out" to my Aunt Vicki. "Why?" you ask? For the simple fact that she SAVED TITUS' LIFE at his party. He choked on a piece of ice and wasn't breathing. She flipped him onto his tummy and pounded that sucker out of his throat. Yea. I know. Scariest moment of my life. :-D Love you, Vicki, and THANK YOU for saving our little buddies life. All in a days work for a nurse, right?

Titus' Birthday Weekend

I couldn't wait to kiss this face.

So. Remember when I said my older sister, Tracy Posey, had a little boy? Austin Michael Posey. He's a stinkin doll. As of last Friday morning I had never met him. Just a a skype here and a phone call there. So you can imagine my total excitement when he arrived at my door Friday evening. I snatched him right up and kissed him and loved on him. He was not as thrilled as I was at the moment but he warmed up to Aunt Janel very quickly. We didn't take many pictures over the weekend as we were busy kissing babies and celebrating a one-year-old but here are the few we got:

By the end, she was a little TOO brave!

 This was Brinley's first time really swimming. It was such a proud mommy time. There is nothing like watching your daughter leap towards you with all the confidence in the world that you will catch her. It was so fun!

This kid will be teaching swimming lessons one day!

Titus is One!

Last weekend we celebrated my little boy's first birthday. I will tell you all about that later. But for today, on my sweet little boy's first birthday I will share some photos from our trip to the sunflower field with Uncle Todd.

Happy Birthday my little boy. You have the sweetest personality- you love: to give long wet kisses all the time and at random, to be chased all over the house, to play in the dirt, to be held by your mama, to pull my hair (turkey!), to nurse, your big fluffy orange blanket, to repeat the word "flower" over and over again, your sister, to dance, the vacuum, and you love to read books. You are the epitome of sweet, Titus Lee Baker. You are mama's little boy and you ALWAYS will be. Thank you for loving me so passionately and teaching me that sleep isn't as necessary as I thought it was ;-)
