Brinley's Play Yard

Here I am playing "catch up" again. One of these days I will be caught up and have nothing to blog about (right around two-thousand NEVER).
A couple months ago Daddy decided that Brinley needed her own playground (and that he didn't want to mow so much grass). So he got to work on Brinley's play yard. The first thing we did was take a trip to Menards and picked out a cute little playhouse:

Daddy's fake smile while he is hurting bad :-(

On our way to Menards!
We got the lumber
She LOVED her new house!
Next was to dig out the sides of the play yard in order to place the lumber:

Brinley was a great foreman

While they were digging, Brinley found a grub worm. She thought it was cool until it attached itself to her hand and she couldn't shake it off. She was quite freaked out by them after that.
The grub worm
Then they had to lay the lumber and drill the holes for the stakes. I went in for a drink an came outside to this....
UH-dorable

She wants to do everything
Daddy does.

Brinley helped place the stakes
Finally, Daddy put up the fence.
Final pictures to come (I just haven't gotten around to it).

Family Reunion

Every year, Grandma's family gets together for the "Annual Family Picnic/Reunion". People fly from all over the US to come see one another. It is quite a fun time. This year, Brinley and I decided to go. So off we went to Denver to spend the weekend at Grandpa and Grandma's house. Here's how we spent the weekend:
Helping Grandpa water his garden

Picking tomatoes
Sewing...

And then we were off to the Family Picnic...

Lots of "catching up" was done

Tyson's beautiful little girl
After the Family Reunion on Sunday, Brinley and I stuck around Monday to attend the funeral of Steven Vegas (my uncle's brother). He was a dear man to many and we are excited to see him again in heaven. You are missed, Steve. VERY missed.

OH!! And did I mention that while we were in Denver we found out that "AUNT TRACY HAS A BABY IN HER TUMMY!!!" That's right, folks. I am an Aunt once again. She is due in April (We can't wait!!) Bring on the cousins.
My new niece/nephew
