New Landscaping!

As usual, Daddy has been hard at work. Not only has he been working at his normal job but he has taken on quite the landscaping job at home, too. He decided he wanted to landscape around the entire house so he made the plans...

Then he got the necessary supplies...

Then he got to work. He started by measuring, then setting up the string that would help him keep the timbers straight. Then he killed all the grass in that area, layed the weed-barrier and then started laying the timbers. So far I am quite pleased...

I haven't taken pictures recently but so far he has also put in sixteen bushes all around the house and hooked up a sprinkler system that is designed to water each bush individually. The sprinklers will be on a timer so no more turning the water on (and forgetting about it all night) for us!
Sometimes my husband's knowledge astounds me. The number of things he is able to design, build, re-create, imagine, make, do, fix, etc is amazing to me. It's not only his knowledge, though. He is also willing to take on big projects and work all night long. There is no way I would even know where to START on a project like this but he just buzzes around the house- working, fixing, making, creating, digging, piping, joining, cutting, testing, etc. He's THE MAN. OUR MAN!
