As you saw
last year, our family has an Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest. This year Roger's parents are in town and so Roger's dad Roger (confusing, I know!) joined in on the fun. Nanny was not interested in joining the contest so we made her bake rolls for us in lieu of her entry. DELISH!!
I would have to say that this year was the stiffest competition. The entries were intense. Check it out:
Brinley's entry was the most colorful |
Roger for some help with his pumpkin |
The men got serious |
Apparently the paint was rather delicious |
Nanny was the babysitter for the evening. She hated it. Can't you tell? |
Grandpa and Daddy used the Dremmel (cheaters) |
Daddy was rather quiet during carving... he was getting nervous! |
Clean-up time! |
And now to the final products...
Nanny's Entry -- delicious rolls! |

Daddy and Grandpa's Entries
(notice the creepy tree shadow behind Grandpa's.... spooky touch!) |

Mommy's Entry |

At the end, we were all supposed to write down TWO entries that we voted for in order to get a winner. I was going to tally up the entries (and cheat if I had to) and declare a winner. This was Roger's vote:

Love my man! |
We ended up declaring it a five-way tie (as always). ... although mommy's was the best :-)

I vote... Brinley's! (P.S. Why do I always comment on your blog... and never the other way around?)
