Evan's Belly Button

I'm not sure if any of you remember when Brinley had some belly button issues as a tiny baby. I wrote about them here and here and here. They believed it could be a patent urachus (explained here). They did a few tests and found that it was NOT a patent urachus. We were thrilled because if it was that would mean surgery in Omaha.... not what we wanted!

Well all of that info to tell you that some of Evan's doctors believe he could have this patent urachus as well. They are scheduling the voiding cystourethrogram (VCUG) . This mean he will have to have a catheter into his bladder, dye filling his bladder and then Xrays. Please pray for his parents' stress and his comfort. I know what it is like to watch them put a catheter in your tiny baby and it is NOT FUN.
